2590 has filter light on when cold

Ran a manual gauge on it and check pressures and sure enough it takes awhile for the fluid to warm up and then it's fine it's 25 to 30 PSI. Everything works when this happens, but the pump has a lot more noise to it like it's got air in it. Is it possible that that lower pump inside the tranny case is bypassing an o-ring until it warms up? Soon as I get the rest of this chiseling done I'm going to pull the filters this winter and fluid on it, but the prior owner said he had it done every year and it's just been done little over a year ago.

That's not uncommon, but check the pickup screen. Not sure how to do that on those. Ask down on the case forum.

Is it cold enough there could ice crystals in the hydraulic oil? When the pickup screen or oil filter are plugged with ice hydraulics get starved for oil and are noisy. This is a good time of year to crack the drain plugs to let any non-absorbed water drain out. If the hydraulic oil is milky you might want to change it.

Numerous cautions are published about having your equipment warmed up prior to doing any kind of work. I always comply with that caution and have lost nothing in the process......especially considering the consequences if I tore up something because I didn't heed good advice.
