270 three point problems

I just bought a Massey Ferguson 270 and the previous owner said he had a new hydraulic pump installed a couple months ago. He was bushoging shortly after and the 3 point stopped working. I got it home and started messing around and got it to raise a couple times. I’m not a Massey guy so I’m not sure about the operation of the hydraulics. I have 2 levers on the right side one I assume is the 3 point raise and lower and the other would be draft .i also have another switch type valve. 2 position up or down. I kept moving that valve up and down and the 3 point raised up with that valve pushed down. It didn’t work every time but intermitly it would raise always with it pised down. Were do I need to start to diagnose this ? Thanks
