I've never owned one, but had a neighbor who did when I was growing up. It's around 65 HP, very maneuverable, plenty of power for it's size. I believe they all had Perkins engines. Very trouble free from what I know about them. If the price and condition are good, buy it. I think you'll like it.

They are good tractors. I have had mine for about 6 years. Really like the tractor. Mine has to earn it's keep and it does.

Neighbors have had one for the past 30 years or so. For quite some time, it was their "big" tractor on a 30 cow dairy farm. Did the bulk of the field work. Very few, if any, issues. They still have it and use it for raking and pulling the square baler. I've driven it several times, and I think it is a very nimble tractor to operate.

I am not sure if the 2xx series had multipower (mf's TA) but on our 165 and 1080 we have it and on the 265 we do not. I do prefer to operate the tractors with the MP for a variety of reasons. They can, however, be expensive to rebuild.

I bought a 175 for a backup hay tractor. It is now the main tractor and does the cutting raking and baling. Great on fuel and reliable. Would buy another in a heartbeat.

Great tractors! Very economical on fuel, and versatile- turning radius is excellent, fast road gear. Here is mine, before I installed the 236 loader and after. It has around 1890 hours on it now. Bought another tractor this past winter with the 236 loader, and moved the loader to this tractor. Still want to do pins and bushings on it, and install a front grille guard on it.
