2755 How many hours until I start having problems?

I bought a used 2755 with 4700 hours in it.
The tractor was well maintained, barn kept,
and was never hooked to a bushhog. It does
not use a drop of oil and everything works.
I have been going through it replacing hoses
and rubber pieces while they are still
available.
I pull a 15' Bushhog through mostly light
work and I blade my driveway.
How many more hours before I begin having
problems, and what will those problems be,
and at how many hours?
Are there parts that I should replace before
they fail and damage other parts?
Do I need to have the injectors serviced?
What about valve adjustment? It does not
look like the valve cover has ever been off

The biggest killer of them is poor maintenance. Antifreeze needs checked for proper sca or dca levels to prevent cavitation of the sleeves. Hydraulic oil needs to be clean and free of moisture. The wrong brand of oil and moisture will really attack the brake linings. Then they clog up the suction screen and the fine metal from the brakes grinding up from no lining get through the whole system and wreak havoc on it.
Likely be a good idea to adjust the valves. Change anti freeze and hyd. oil and clean suction screen. I'd use only JD premixed antifreeze and hy-gard hyd. oil. It may cost a little more but your not going to use that much so it's worth the piece of mind knowing you used the proper stuff. Who know what it had in it before ?

These are fair/decent John Deeres...I have worked on a lot of these and earlier series small frame Deeres.

The worst weakness with these are the two-speed/quad-packs...which are the same size in about all the small tractors...park brakes burn out from driving around with park on...engine clutches are dry type and like anything can wear out....cabs hinder working on these to a considerable degree...not immune to customer mis-use and abuse.

All that said a properly used and cared for 2755 should be an excellent tractor

We have had one since new with a 245 loader on it. It now has 9000 hrs on it and 1 clutch and 1 hydraulic pump. We used to have 150 head of cattle so it did a lot of loader work. It still does all our baling, planting and spraying. At the time it was the best utility tractor on the market and we demoed all colors. It has been the most trouble free tractor we have had along with our Magnum. With those hours you should have a LOT of trouble free hours.

With proper maintenance, it should be good for 10000 hours...by then, likely a clutch, starter relay and maybe a hydraulic pump.
