2755 under hood muffler

just wondering has anyone tried a muffler from a&i products on a JD 2755 with the 239 ci turbo? It's less money than one from JD but I'm a bit leary it wont fit right?

I would not suggest an aftermarket part in this case. The 2755 muffler (and many other under-hood mufflers for John Deere model tractors) is an assembly of many parts. Most times the after-market cannot make these kinds of parts to high quality standards and ultimately you pay less up front but after you get it, fit it and use it you are sorely disappointed. I learned this the hard way with an aftermarket radiator for a 4000 which was simply a piece of trash.

John Deere does own A&I, so if an aftermarket one is going to fit an A&I one should. Usually if there is a part from A&I that can work in place of the official JD part, it will show as an alternate part when checking the JD part number. Do you find an A&I part number that is a direct cross to the JD part number for your muffler? The parts guys at your dealer should be able to confirm if there is, they can get the A&I parts as well.
