I hooked up my new find to my super c. A little grease and all works. Now I need to build a cable pulley system to raise and lower unit. I am open to sugestions how and where to run cable. Thanks for help. Brian

I have one that was my grandfathers. I still have not fixed it up to pull with my IH 140 which is what he had.

It is set up with a pulley on the draw bar part of the mower and a bar that bolts to the rear lift arms. So the cable is pulled when the rear lift is raised.

I know this will not help but I was told by an uncle that originally the cable ran under the floor platform and hooked to the front right rock shaft which you do have. I have no idea if this was correct and what cable or pulleys and brackets that were use.

This might help.

I used to have one of those. Pulled it behind a JD A after fabricating a mounting bracket. Got one cultivator lift arm which bolted on to one side of rockshaft. Attached lift arm to mower lift arm with chain.

Later got an Oliver 550. Removed 3ph arms and attached chain to one of the lift arms. That tractor has a removeable swinging drawbar assembly and i fabricated a mount for the mower to go there. Worked fine, especially with the good Oliver independent PTO.

On you Super C I'm wondering if you could attach a solid rod from the mower lift arm to the tractor rockshaft. My acquaintance with a Super C is limited to sitting on one, so be careful of my advice.

If it was a A 21 or C 21, you could do that, but I'm not sure the mower lift shaft would be the right length or line up right.

After thinking it over I don't think a solid rod wpuld work because the mower has to flex to go over uneven ground. I.m sure that was the reason I used a chain. Maybe a rod past the driver and then a chain. Or maybe a cable through a pulley under the axle. Back to my original statement that I haven't used a Super C.
