280 Heston swather

Can anybody tell me……..? on a 280 Heston swather……on the steering and trim pullys…..can the SHEAVE PULLY be tightened to produce a more responsive steering? I’ve tightened the belt, but I have to pull like crazy to get it to back up.
Thanks

Here is what they show in the Operators Manual. If you need it Operators Manual is for sale

Good picture……
I wondered if parts 38 through 42 could be adjusted in to increase belt tension also.
I tightened belt tension up on the top adjustment.

Here’s a tip. Whatever you do, don’t buy a John Deere R450 or any of the R series swathers. Their steering is so f*cked up it’s not funny
