I bought this rake to expand my line of Case machinery on the farm. From everything I can glean, I believe its a model 281. It looks like I'll need to replace bearings in the gearbox and also do a major overhaul to the wheel hubs. As CNH parts site does not show the parts diagram, can one of you help me out with a photo or pdf of those areas? I'd like to see what is supposed to be where before I tear into it. This rake seems to be heavier built than the competitive makes, especially in the frame members.

I rebuilt mine a while back and just got
the bearings from Napa. Got all the
bearings for both the gear box and the rake
bars from them. Teeth are available online
by just googling case 281 rake teeth. Shop
for price because the same teeth range from
$2.00 to $12.00 each.
