2950 injection pump removal

wondering what would I need to do to remove the injection pump? does the tractor need to be timed? anything need to be aligned? or can I just remove it? and what is needed to remove the front gear?

Has the CAV DPA Roto Diesel pump, no timing set needed. The tapered drive shaft has a key for correct gear alignment, and the timing case has a scribe mark to align the pump flange mark with during re-assembly. Gear stays in engine, but needs to be popped off the tapered pump drive shaft during pump removal. If the gear has two threaded holes a steel plate and bolts can be used after the drive nut is off to push the shaft out of the gear.
