2955 hyd oil leak

I've got a 2955 with a constant leak from the vent tube coming from the reservoir tank. If the leak is from the pump and not the check ball on the tank, is this indicative of a bad pump?

The oil storage tank in front of the rad and beside the hydraulic cooler?
If so, anything restricting gravity flow from the cooler back to the trans case?
The vent line, does it "T" into the same line as the front pump shaft seal drain line. Then runs back to the trans case?

I wonder if the line from the tee back to the shift cover is broke in two and the guy is mistaking this for a vent ? Won't be the first time this happened.

The tee, the little hoses, and the check valve work like this:

The hoses carry leak off oil between the two main pump seals back to the clutch housing. It is OK if there is some oil here as long as it isn't a steady stream. If it is a steady stream. it is time to reseal the main hydraulic pump.

The check valve keeps precious charge oil {the oil that feeds the main pump} from leaking out the reservoir through the little long hose back to the clutch housing.

If there is a sudden demand for a lot of main pump oil, {like raising the three point} there isn't enough oil being supplied from the charge pump to feed the main pump. When this happens that line back to clutch housing lets air flow forward to the reservoir through that check valve. This lets the oil in the reservoir drop down into the main pump and help feed it.

So the plastic tube that runs from the pump to the reservoir, then tees off and goes rearward on the tractor, wasn't intended to drip oil onto the starter to keep it from rusting . So the intended location for the line is on the clutch housing and not just dangling out in space? I will see if I can find where it belongs. Thanks!
