2n gas shut off valve

Removed shut off valve from fuel tank......does not have a screen like filter on it. .....did that come off in tank? ....if so can a new filter screen be purchased as I want to keep original valve........thxs

very good chance the screen is in the tank, yes. i removed an extra from mine a few years ago, no telling how long it had been there. i've never seen just the screen for sale, but then i've never looked for it specifically. u could make your own, or u could buy a new assembly, put it on the shelf, and steal the screen from it.

Tractor supply sells the screen together with a new cork bowl gasket.
