I have one in a mf 40 backhoe
I can not get started to save my life
Bleed everything over and over again still nothing
Had injection pump rebuilt (not sure if it's in time though)
Injectiors have been rebuilt
Had new lift pump too
But I have no idea why it will not start
Any help would be appreciated
Pumps good injectors are good lift pump is good so I'm lost

fuel or air, while cranking the engine, crack a line and ck for fuel at the injector, then hold your hand over the air cleaner ands ck for air, maybe it is out of time

are you getting fuel at the injectors crack the line at the injector one will do and crank if no fuel then you need to bleed better. pressure rise the fuel tank to help bleeding (don't blow the tank up)one little air bubble will keep it from priming. if you are 100% sure it is bled then you might not have it timed they have to be right on or it will not go

Hello
Why did you remove the pump and injectors to start with? Did the engine not run before. The pump will only go in one way.have you tried a
small amount of carb cleaner in the intake to see if it will fire at all.does it have low compression.

Is there FUEL in the Tank?
Is fuel getting to the Transfer pump?
Is there Fuel entering the FILTERS and exiting the FUEL filters?
Is there fuel getting to the high pressure FUEL INJECTION PUMP?
When several fuel lines are cracked/loosened off on the FUEL INJECTION PUMP, is there signs of fuel emitted from the fuel pump?
Is the FUEL SHUT OFF device at the FUEL PUMP enabled/turned on?
Is the hand throttle at least 1/2 > 3/4 open?
Is the hand throttle connected to the PUMP?
What make of FUEL INJECTION PUMP?
What make and model of ENGINE?

Is it possible to install the injector pump with the engine one full revolution off? I know of that happening with an Oliver 1650 once. The fuel was being injected at the end of the exhaust stroke.

It was pulled because it was stopped up like it was dribbling not squirting then didn't know on injectors so had them done too along with lift pump also

Engine did run before sounded liked it only was running on 2 cylinders instead 3
That was another reason the fuel system got rebuilt
I can crack injections one at a time and it squirts pretty good
Yesterday it acted like it wanted to fire one time but wouldn't run if that makes any since what so ever
It's a cav pump on a 3.152 Perkins

I would get a compression tester for a diesel engine and see how much pressure the cylinders have. You also could pull the injectors, put a little bit of engine oil each cylinder (like a cap full, or two of oil from a quart oil bottle). Put the injectors back in, and crank it over, and see if it will try to run on the engine oil you put in the cylinders. If it does kind of run for a few seconds you probably have bad piston rings.

Yes it can be, and sounds like out of time. After coming off for a rebuild, that is the prime suspect.
Do you have a manual that goes into detail of this pump?

With the way the Perkins is setup the only real way to get the timing way off is to turn the engine over without the injector pump on it, and the gear that drives the injector pump somehow jumps teeth. Unless you managed to take the pump off with the drive gear still attached.
