3 brush Generator

Does anybody have a picture they could post of a 3 brush, 3 wire generator, is the model number 8N 10000-A the gen is on a 47 front mount 8N

What kind of picture are you looking for? One of the inside or just a shot of the outside? My 8N has a three wire genny I could take a picture of if you just want the outside, but I'm at a loss as to why that would be valuable. LOL

es, 8N10000A & it uses an 8N 10505A voltage regulator.

Thanks JMOR, I have been around the horn talking with the parts people as to what I need (new generator number) to replace it with and still work.

Don"t know if my other post got there or not. so to repeat, yep and outside photo tells me that I have the same generator as what JMOR posted. I have found that there is a large range of generators out there and didn"t want to buy something I could"t use., So what they call a 3 wire, 3 brush generator for early models sounds like what I need. Don"t have a model number for the new one do you ?

easonably sure no one is currently offering the 8N10000A. Probably will need to change to the 2-brush/3-terminal (no HI/LO Adjuster screw), 8N10000B. It will be a 20amp gen vs your current 11amp unit & bolts right up!. Should be used with 8N10505B regulator, which you may already have, since the 8N10505A regulator has not been available for a long time. You might want to have a shop re-build your current generator?
