3 point hitch stabilizers for MF245

I have a standard rigid bar stabilizer bar for my MF 245 3 point hitch.

BUT I want my 3 point hitch to completely stop shifting side to side. At present it moves 3 or 4 inches right to left. This is a problem for precise cultivation of vegetable crops.

Anyone have a good design for a more modern stabilizer, perhaps with turnbuckles??

Thanks,
Eric

I have a couple of sets. One is two threade rods with ends that fit the cat 1hitch with a center threaded piece that the two ends thread into You adjust them to not have any play And one that has a chain on each end and a turnbuckle in the center. I think Tractor Supply or Rural King would have either one

TSC has them They're called adjustable stabilizer bars. I use one on my MF202. It makes hooking up an implement easier. First hook up the flat stabilizer bar then hook up the adjustable one. Then use the adjustable one to center the implement. Sometimes it's hard to get two flat stabilizer bars hooked up because one may need to push the implement to one side to get the other one hooked up. This can be hard if you're working by yourself. That's why the adjustable one makes it so much easier. Adjustable stabilizer bars are just like your adjustable top link.

That's great. Thank you all. I was going to make something like one of those, but they're so cheap I'll just go buy them.

Does anyone have a preference between the bar type (like a top-link) and the chain type?

Eric
