3-Point Mulcher?

I recently had a large cedar mulcher clear several acres on our ranch. It did a great job but left a lot of material that is still quite large...not log size but just large strips, etc. Does anyone know about a 3-point, PTO driven implement that could be used to run over the shredded material and break it down into much smaller pieces so that grass can grow up through it.

Just gather them up and burn the pile or if it is cedar you could put it in some clothes boxes for the aroma.

I think a root rake/landscape rake would be just the ticket. Drag stuff into piles and burn. Ellis

Forestry mulchers seem to be almost exclusively hydraulic driven and loader mounted on tracked armored machines.

I'm thinking they would tear a tractor PTO to shreds in minutes. For sure they will throw things up at the tires and operator platform.

3-point PTO brush mulchers do exist. As do 3-point stump grinders, wood chippers and other attachments. Be ready for some MAJOR sticker shock. Baumalight is one of several manufacturers. If you don't have a massive amount to do, Check local equipment rental yards.

I saw an ad on youtube this afternoon of a small 3pt mounted forestry mulcher mounted on a Kubota. Looked to take about a 3' swath. You back into the brush so you're mostly protected from thrown pieces.

HOWEVER, it looked like it didn't do much more than what you say was already done. Lots of long pieces left on the ground.
