3-point problems

3-point will raise and hold position,, will not release and lower,, could their be a frozen valve due to frigid weather we have had in the Kansas city area

this on a boeing jet aircraft or perhaps a sherman tank maybee? ( you didn't tell us what tractor you have.. hyd top cover between the 9n-2n and 8n is different. )

IF a 9-2-8N first thing you do is pull inspection plate and see if the arm or fork from the top cover is moving the control valve fully back and forth as you move the 3pt control.

dirty, gritty, emulsified oil can cause sticking..

thanks bunch, the tractor is a 2n, I will try the inspection plate as directed, I have a whole lot to learn

KC area that is all that far from me since I am at the lake of the Ozarks. One thing you need is the I-T FO-4 manual is has good info and pictures as to what your looking for when you pull the inspection cover
