Hey guys thank you for all the info on my last post. I was going to tear into my 8n, but was a little confused, when I raised the arms in the highest position with a back blade on it started to jump up and down about 1 or 2 inches when it reached the highest lifting height. Is this normal or has anyone had this happen to them before? To me it seems like the oil is blowing by the piston causing it to jump up and down. Thanx again
Did you remove mthe round inspection plate with the dipstick and look in to see if you see oil streaming from the mouth of the cylinder or the oil tube at the top cover. You got leakdown somewhere. Lift the blade as you describe with the cover off and look inside with a light to see what you determine.
