i have a 9n, bought a 3 point mower, hooked it up and it wont lift it, no pressure on arms, oil is full, pto engaged, unhooked mower moved lift lever and up it went, droped arms and had a 300# + pound friend stand on it and up he went no problem.... confused! anyone out there know of anything! oh and i tryed it when it was warmed up and after it sat over night

Don't know what to tell ya. Could be your hydaulics are weak and the mower probable weighs more than your friend. I'd take off the right inspection cover and check for leaks when trying to lift the mower.

i think it would still have some pressure on the arms even if the mower was to heavy but there was no pressure at all...... and it was used with the same type of mower last year.

Was the mower turning while trying to lift?
Maybe more precisely, was the PTO shaft turning?

This seems to be one strange topic.

Giving it the benefit of the doubt........

The main difference I can see in the two scenarios is the top link.

Would I be correct in this assumption, that the the mower was connected to the top link, and then when lifting the friend it wasn't?

If the mower was pulling on the top link, and the friend wasn't I MIGHT could see a lift cover adjustment problem.

But then again, I may just be WAY off my rocker.....
