3 pt hitch

i recently found a 165 masey fergeson. the 3pt hitch does not lift.any suggestions to why not.

They are known for that. I don't know for sure , but they have a dual internal pumping system that can be a real nightmare.

Gooday bloke . All the guys in here - helped me absolutely no end - to solve my hydraulic's problems . After draining all the common function oil ( wet-brakes , tranny , dif , gear-box & hydraulics ) I took out the bottom filter & cleaned it out ( solid as rock - took hours to clean it ) then ran it with some diesel 20 % for about an hr. - emptied again , cleaned fillter again , filled it with the correct oil & PRESTO , 10 hrs later it's still working like new . All of that was thanks to the help I got in here from everyone that gave me such good advise . What model is it and what systems does it have ? If you gave more info about the tractor , David , Donovan , Big Dean & all those GREAT guys would jump rite-in & give you the right steer , I'm sure . Good luck , james in Auzzie-land
