yes the 2 chains that attach from the rear end over to each lifting arm. Stops the arms from swaying left and right I guess.

I'm adding a 55 gallon drum counter weight. Don't want it swinging all over the place

is this the kit that stops the lift arms from swaying left and right?
If so will the chains prevent the lift arms from lowering all the way to the ground?

At some point the chains will be stretched out as to where the end of the lift arm will be I dunno. I have seen lift arm ends on the ground I did not pay attention to the condition of the check chain hardware. I can tell you its hard to duplicate this kit its money well spent to replace it with a store brought kit.

right now my lift arms extend all the way to the ground.

Just trying to stop the lift arms from swaying way left or right.
The ones I've seen on other tractors it looks like they will only allow the lift arms to sway left/right so far.

Don't want this 55 gallon drum or lift arm banging into my rear tire or rocking around back there.

Found the drawbar kit but according to what I'm seeing these chains attach under the axle...

I'm looking for the ones that attach on either side of the PTO housing like one on either side of where the PTO shaft comes out.

I also recommend the solid bars over the chains, especially for something heavy, like a counterweight.

About all those chains do is keep the lift arms from hitting the tires. They will not keep a 3-point load from swaying back and forth.

thank you but just ordered the other kit..

You bought the wrong item, you need stabilizer bars. Chains do not help, they are only to keep the lift arms from contacting the rear tires.
You can see this Ford tractor has only 1 stabilizer bar, it's on the right side,, and prevents the lift arms from moving sideways.

I see a right and a left stabilizer bar.
