3 pt stopped working

I've been putting this project off until the winter. All summer I've been mowing with the deck chained to a fixed height. I think my hydraulic pump is shot but I'm curious if there's a sure-fire way to verify this before I open things up? I put a gauge on the top cover and I get 0 psi when engaging the lift.

2nd... I'm inclined to pickup one of the aftermarket pumps for $200 but I've read that there's 2 types of relief valves. Does anyone know if all these aftermarket pumps come with the 2500psi valves ? eBay descriptions don't mention what the psi is.

Have you removed inspection covers to check filter?
Have you checked for stuck spool under right cover?

Sorry.. I left out a lot of details. It's the F40 (same as the MH/MF50). I've removed and cleaned the filter. Verified fluid level is good. I'm not sure what stuck spool means but I'll look into that. On previous posts under my profile I detailed some tests I did. It was losing height on the 3pt when anything heavy was attached to it. I removed the auxiliary bolt on the top cover and installed a psi gauge. I chained the arms down and conducted that test and it produced decent psi. However, shortly after I performed that test the 3pt stopped completely.

I don't know if my 150 series is different than your earlier model. My 3point wouldn't lift after using it a few days B4.
-Take the bottom two bolts out of the right side round cover plate. Let oil Drain to that level.
-Remove cover (you may have a lever on cover) just observe how it's removed.
-There is a lever moved by a roller against linkage which operates the control spool.
-Observe if you can move spool by lite pressure.
-The tractor may be started in neutral with breaks set . Now you can move the 3point lever to see if spool is following the linkage.

Again this is Operating a 100 series tractor. It's been several years ago but mine is still working.

I can see your spool and pump relief valve. This very different than the later 100 series.
Can you move that spool with a long screwdriver as a lever? You can run the engine/pump but NEVER put your hands in there. The roller/spool should follow the linkage as 3point operates.

Another thought is the top link could be a problem. It can stick and spring can break. It is primarily used with the draft mode.

When I purchased my MF202 from a neighbor, the tractor ran fine but the 3 point lift did not work. The guy gave me such a good price, I thought I would just replace the pump and still come out ahead. So, I bought it and drove it home. I removed the right side round inspection cover and discovered that the linkage inside was just stuck so, I just gave it a gentle pry with a large screw driver and it popped loose. The 3 point worked fine and has been working fine for around ten or so years. I like those kind of problems. By the way, I never did tell my neighbor what that simple fix was. I didn't want to see him cry.
