3-pt wont go down?

I just got a Harry Ferguson ( I believe it is a TO-20) The 3pt raised up but now it wont go down?
This is the first Harry Ferguson I have gotten, maybe I"m doing something wrong?
Does any one have any ideas?

I'd do an archive search with "3 point lift".There's lots about your subject in the records.

The control valve is most likely stuck in the forward position. Take the side plate off and with the engine off, reach down in the oil(NEVER DO THIS WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING!) and feel for a "T" shaped control valve stem attached to the "H" shaped control fork. Pull it back about and inch and the lift should drop. Move it forward and backward to get a feel how smooth it operates. If it moves with diffiulty, some crap or corruption is caUsing a problem and you"ll probably need to drain the reservior and pull the pump.

The other possibility is that the "T" shaped valve stem has dislodged from the "H" shapped control fork, in which case you need to re-attach it.
