300 radiator interchange?

Its a bad day for me. My wife has been Ill and my trusty 300 round nose sat out of site. Well the radiator was ripped out and probably by now is a bar of copper and brass. A friend has a 300 square nose radiator a long trip away. Would any one know if they would interchange? Or even close?
Thanks Mr Bill

DRUG junkies sold it to the scrap yard. .Check with Conner on this forum. CM Your located where?

I think they mount the same, and both tractors use the same engine. I was going to check the CaseIH site and look at the radiator part number for the two tractors and see
if they are the same, but Case has changed their web site again and I can not find anything now.

Factory radiator for 1956 & 1957 300rn and 1958 300B have the same radiator G13090.

1959 311B has a taller radiator G45177. I don't know if you can shoe horn it in, look it over good and do some measuring if that is you only option.

I was just looking at the 300B parts book. Look to the right of the G13090 and G45177 description. The added swapped part nrs means they are interchangeable. That doesn't mean they are the exact same dimensions but that they will bolt in and work as a suitable substitute in either 1958 or 1959 model.

For our purposes in replacing the 300rn G13090, it means that the bolt down on the bottom should be the same. The brackets for 300rn & 300B are all G10838.

It seems that the only fly in the ointment would be the added height of the 1959 and I don't know about the width. There isn't a lot of difference in the radiator height. Anyway if it's a 1959 do some measurements and post.

This is the the 1958 grill cap with a small cover The radiator cap is just under the cover.

This is the the 1959 grill and radiator neck & cap up through a round hole.

The top tin on the 300B is flat across the top, the 300RN has a top that opens, then is lower across the sides. Perhaps the lower height is to accommodate the profile of the different top.

RJKeith you're right about that, there is more room overall up front in the 300B then the 300rn. The 1958 G13090 radiator would be a drop-in replacement but the 1959 G45177 is really questionable due to the height and that the width & depth is unknown. If they are interchangeable in the 300B 1958 & 1959 then the two mounting studs on the bottom should match on the 300rn and all the brackets are the same p/n.

All I can say is thanks so much accurate effort. We got this. I have a new 300 fender. It must have been taken off a new tractor.I bought it a round 35 years ago from a residence garage sale. No equip of any kind on the suburban property.
Again thanks

Was there any resolution on this? I would love an update as to their possible interchangeability.

I just got a 1957 Case 311 round nose; serial #6075249, and looking for a new radiator. (Is the McCord radiator I pulled off of it original?)

Liker others, I am finding some options for the G45177, but nothing for G13090. However, the dimensions of the aftermarket radiators cross-referenced with G45177 (aftermarket # 219875) match almost identical with the one I just pulled off my round nose.

The #219875 available online:
Total Height: 22 3/8"
Total Width: 16 7/8"

My measurements:
Total Height: 22 3/8"
Total width: 15 7/8" front; 17 1/4" rear flare

Core height and widths are the same, with both having 8" mounting studs on bottom.

I have read all of the threads here I could find on the forum, but if anyone has any new information, experiences with this, reliable sources, etc., I would love to hear them. Otherwise, I am going to pop for one of these and see what happens (and report back!)

Thanks. I have learned a ton here about these old tractors the last couple weeks, and am really enjoying getting this thing going again.

Tim

Just reporting back on this. I couldn't find a G13090 so ordered the G45177 for my '57 RN. The listed height on websites for the 45177 does not include the filler neck, so it's a little over an inch too tall. Everything else lines up exactly (width, depth, bolt spacing, top and bottom hoses, brackets), so I just used a hole saw and made it look like the other models with the cap that extend through the hood. It's a work horse, not a show horse, so I am good with it. FYI for those may be asking the same thing in the future.
