Works in 1st and rev with no load. But slips under load and in higher gear. Must be the clutch right? But there is a grind that I can feel in the lever when engaged. Is that the ramp assy.

If you mean it slips with the handle pulled back, removing the t/a and repair is required. If slipage happens with handle forward a clutch is slipping. If t/a is also out or slipping on the low side along with a slipping clutch you may need to remove a inspection cover to tell which one is, main or t/a clutch. If its with handle back and you repair t/a, clutches will be easy to inspect then.
