300 Utility IH

I own a 300 Utility (IH) that has been sitting on a cement floor for 5 years. When I put it in the shed one wheel locked up for a few seconds and then released.
Now five years later when I was going to pull it out, both rear wheels are locked up. I would appreciate any help available as to what I can do to repair the problem.

Sounds like the brakes could be stuck. If it is below freezing in the building you could have water in the gear lube that is frozen, keeping things from turning.

If it's sitting outside in the cold (below freezing), and there is water in the transmission, it could be froze and keeping the gears from turning.

The brake have locked up. There is a round “pod” sticking out on each side in front of the rear axles. Loosen the 6 bolts and that will likely free the brakes to allow it to move. I am linking the manufacturers parts catalog selected to the diagram for the brakes. CNHI IH 300U brake parts FYI, clicking the 300 International Utility at the top left will allow you to view all parts sections for the tractor.

Also ditto on this, pull the drain plug and see if it is oil or ice. Gear cases can accumulate water in them through condensation over time.
