300 utility rear axle

Does anyone have an idea on this axle coming out, I need to move this tractor about 60 feet, can the axle come all the way out. This tractor has a Wagner backhoe and I need to do so digging. Thanks for all the info I have received on this problem.

USe the hoe to move it with that wheel up off the ground a little bit. Keep the loader bucket if has one just off the ground also. With hoe turned just slightly it will lift that rear wheel then just push ahead with the hoe tractor should move then repeat each time using the front bucket for the brake.

go in low gear and creep ahead while someone is walking beside watching. i dont see how an axle can slide out when the brg. cage is holding
it in. it not like when the nut is off the inside of axle and the bull gear can slide out. even so the axle cant slide out anyhow if the bull
gear is on the axle. unless i am missing something here.

The outer bearing will not allow the axle to come all the way out unless bearing is busted. It
also will not allow axle to come out far enough to allow bull gear to come completely off axle.

Need to know, will tractor still pull it's self as you could actually have a broken axle inside
allowing axle to move out some.

You should jack up that wheel to see if it spins freely when engine not running. BUT, most likely,
the bolt and washer holding bull gear on and axle in place has broken or screwed out part way.

With a back hoe on, getting the pto rear unit out, if it has one, will probably be lot of work but
it has to be done sooner or later. I am not familiar as to how close the back hoe sits to the rear
of tractor. Maybe you just have a cover in the rear and no pto, I have no way of knowing .

At any rate, using it the way it is you will need to be real cautious as it could be catastrophic
depending on what is actually wrong.
