300 Utility What is it?

After a run down the road in high gear my 300 utility left a small puddle of oil on the floor right under the lockout plate
for the torque amplifier. It appeared to be leaking out of the case, after digging around a little there was about a 1/2
hole plugged up with old grease that doesn't have any threads, seems it came from there. Any idea what that hole is for and
why it leaked ?

T/A direct clutch dry compartment that is one of the drain holes that lets the oil that leaks by seals out so it does not soak the clutch. Transmission fluid only will come in there from three possible seals. Engine oil cannot get to that area. I will possibly post a diagram later that shows where the are.

I was thinking probably a weephole, I have been fixing leaks on this tractor since I acquired it about 8 years ago, it's nickname is Dr Leaky.
It probably has been seeping for some time, I finally got the hydraulic valves to quit leaking and I could actually park it on the driveway without leaving spots, then this started today. Thanks for taking the time to respond...Tom

Here is a post from a couple years ago others and myself replied to about the same on a 350U which is the same tractor with a 175 CID engine instead of the 169. I did not exactly point out the seals by key numbers there but it will give you a good idea. In the 3rd reply which is mine the link called ..Link with TA leak info.. is to a post in another forum that gives you a pretty good layout of what is going on.
