3000 steering shaft

I'm working on a fence rowed 3000 streering box, the journal where the upper seal rides is badly pitted to the point i don't believe a speedi sleeve will stick even with sleeve retainer. I am thinking I would
chuck the shaft up in a lathe and turn it down a little then make a bushing to fit. The issue I'm having is I don't have the OD measurement of the journal to go by. Anyone out there happen to have that
measurement handy? Thanks

Just turn it down to next size seal on ID.

Sorry for the delay in posting back. Too many tractors,trucks and round balers to work on,we are swamped. My shaft measures .870 to .871. It has some very slight pitting. A new wear sleeve measures .889 -.890 OD. Making the sleeve .010 thick. I will be installing a sleeve on this one. Hope this helps.
