3010/3020 engine replacement question

Just saw this on a web site, and was wondering if this engine could be made to fit a 3010/3020? More curious than anything. Thanks

Yes that engine can be installed in a 3010/3020 when using correct engine flywheel housing & frt pump mounting bracket plus other parts. JD offered such as kit several yrs ago. If tractor is a 3010 or 3020 up to serial # 123,000 then the 2nd scv if applicable will interfere with turbocharger

That series of engines could be had as structural or non-structural blocks. The galleys for the rods to swing in, on the side of the block in the picture, says it is not a structural block, which tractors generally use. Just a heads up.

IMHO using a non-structural block in a JD rowcrop tractor is acceptable due to rowcrop tractor engines mounting of front support attaching to side frames not front of engine block. Front support attached directly to frt of engine block on utility tractors & side frames were an option.

Understood, just noting the difference so someone looking at a different application doesn't go only by the engine model.
