3010 remotes

Got a new to me 1962 3010 John Deere tractor to wrap up my hanging season last year…. It was absolutely flawless…. I have only used various Ford tractors over the years and was very satisfied with the 3010…After wrapping up with the hay last year, I uncoupled everything and haven’t used the remotes since….
Today when I hooked up the Haybine, the remote remotes aren’t working the hydraulic lines… the fluid level is full, and I’ve been researching, trying to find some information on it…. have not come up with very much…. Any ideas as to what is going on would be most appreciated to let me know where to start looking…. As I mentioned, the fluid is full, and I checked the linkage it appears to be hooked up… many thanks in advance!

Are you sure remote ends are getting totally plugged in to female end? They are different than some others.

Yes… the hoses were properly installed with the levers appropriately oriented… I had done that a few times taking haybine off and putting the balor on

Actually on JD 3010 breakaway the lever must be turned down 90° to turn oil flow on.

Take a 3000 psi gauge and plumb it into a hyd tip and plug it into the breakaway couple and see what your pressure is 2000 would be good.

I’m afraid my experience with John Deere remotes was the culprit….. this dumb old guy had the levers the wrong way…lol!
