3020 carb load mixture adjustment

3020 with a Marvel Schebler carburetor, the load mixture adjusting screw stays ?loose? after adjusting. So loose that it?ll turn itself out while running. The o ring has been replaced. Any ideas?

Is this the mixture screw in the fuel cutoff solenoid?

Its in the correct position on the carb and when adjusted it runs well. But when it runs the screw vibrates out. Never tightens.

Maybe try some non hardening or hardening Permatex on the threads ?

A lot of mixture screws have coil springs over them to prevent this, can you put one on this one. Where I used to work we would wrap threads with teflon tape to prevent vibration from turning them, but don't let any tape get into the carb!

I was thinking of the tape but was also worried about anything getting into the carb. Thanks

Make sure it is squeaky clean before you apply any goop.
