3020 clutch

How long does it take to put in a clutch on a syncro 3020. Do you have to take off the roll bar. Thanks!

if your talking about a 2-post, No, acording to the equipment you have and how many breaks you take about 2.5 to 3 hours! be sure to put the clutch in facing the right way!

i believe flat rate at a jd shop is about 8 hours, out, apart, and back togeter. no you do not have to remove the roll bar.

To me, these older machines (3010, 3020 and 4010 and 4020 series) are about the simplest machines to split and replace the clutch, rear engine seals, etc

Provided that I have all the parts on hand that I"m going to replace during this split, takes me about a day - - and that"s not racing around like a NASCAR pit crew. I"m sure it can be done faster. And, this also assumes that I don"t have to bring the flywheel in to be resurfaced.

4 hrs plus 2 hrs at machine shop drinking beer while they machine flywheel.
