3020 diesel question

Howdy all, I recently was helping a nieghbor get his 3020 dsl running again...its been sitting for about 5 years. The problem we have is that it was fine when he parked it....now its not getting fuel to the injectors. We have fuel to the pump...but thats it....I was wondering if its possible for the shut off to be stuck in the off possition??? The throttle moves fine.....and again we have fuel entering the pump...and coming out the oppisite side (plastic plug across from "in") Any help or tips would be apprieciated.....thanks.

It is quite possible that the throttle valve inside the pump is stuck in the off position from the fuel getting gummy after all the years of sitting idle.

I"ve cracked the lines already.....at the injectors ...then at the pump...no fuel....even after rolling over many times. Thats why I believe it could be a throttle or shut off valve in the pump. So yes...to clear up the issue...no fuel to the lines...however we are getting fuel to the top of the pump from the filters and all. I will look at the pump today to see if there is a place to take apart the throttle side of it....to see if there is a valve in there that is gummy or rusted up.
I've owned a 4010 and a 4630....does the 3020 shut off with lowering the throttle all the way? I don't see any pull shut off on the tractor or an electric solenoid at all for the purpose of shut down.

The metering valve is what shuts of, or turns on the tractor - and it can get stuck. Very easy to get to. Just pull the three bolt cover off pump and you can put your finger on it - and work it back and forth.

In regard to bleeding - the pump is self bleeding as long as the fuel getting to it is air free.
