Hello everybody,
I"ve been pulling a JD 3020 gas for the last 5 years or so and have been pretty competitive in the 7500 and 9000 pound class with a fresh stock engine. I would like to keep the bottom of the engine stock, since all of the parts are new anyways, but I want to have something done with the head and cam. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with these and would know what works and what doesn"t. Im also looking to change the rear cast wheels to a lighter steel wheel. Any tips on what to do with them. Thanks

Get a set of 9 bolt pressed steel wheels, then use M$W U bolt hubs bolted to the axle, you"ll probably loose 1000#, maybe more. What do you have for a front end, wide or tricycle? Rollomatic or non-rollomatic? Do you have one of those pertronix ignitions or the points condenser? How about the carburetor? Have you got it modified much? How many rpms is it turning?

Thanks for the info,
I have a rollomatic triciycle. I had the engine completely rebuilt when this was my primary hay tractor. I now rely on my diesel and am going to make this a play tractor. So far all that I've done is replace the oil bath air filter with a K&N and added a spring or two to the governor. The ignition is coming soon.
