3020 Hydraulic problems

Our early 3020 won't lift loader or 3pt., steering works O.K. Tried displacing stroke control valve with special fitting with no improvement (this has worked in the past). Loader has seporate control valves, takes pressure on right hand of console and returns into filter cover. Thanks!

How long since hyd filter was changed & sump screen checked/cleaned??

I'd suggest to check stand-by pressure. It should be in the 2250-2350 psi range. It's also possible priority valve under hood is stuck blocking some pressure to the rear of tractor.

Where is pryority valve located?

Maybe there is a major hydraulic leak in the 3 point or loader area and the priority valve is doing what it is suppose to do.

What you state is possible but the only way to determine hyd malfunctions is by utilizing good diagnostics.

You are 100% correct about diagnostics. Check the stand by pressure and eliminate the loader from the equation.
