3020 PTO

How good do the PTOs on a 3020 last. Mine turns a little and stops sometimes then turns. When you put a baler or bushogg on it dont. I think its the PTO brake. Does it hurt anything for it to turn. Thanks!

the PTO shaft break needs adjusting, but you didn't say which transmission you had!

just adjust you pto brake and you'l be in GOOD SHAPE In your service manual section 100-10

unless it's a utility 3020 will be on the right side below the fuel guauge, you see where to adjust it, Do you have a tech manual?

No I have an I&T Manual but it is loaned to a neighbor. Mine aint a utility tractor. The adjustment under dash is like siezed on there very hard to break loose. Will heat work or what are some ideas. Thanks again!

I wouldn't use heat forsure. There is a spring and a detent pin and it mar distort them. Use you favorite Gorilla juice untill it works free. Do you think it's the lever or the detent pin?

The shaft slowly turns when disengaged and not hooked to an implement??? Works correctly when engaged???Normal.........
