3020 tranny

Just bought a 3020 and when draining the transmission oil had to open the fill port to drain without suction . I am guessing there should be a vent but cant see one .
Any ideas .

The fill cap has a vent. It is made in two pieces. Might be hard to clean but should vent. Tom

hello, i ran across a 4020 recently that had a solid fill cap,, no vent. i think the cap is from a 3010--4010. i first noticed on this 4020 a small hose dangling from under the seat to the rear of rockshaft,, soo somebody went to the trouble to drill & tap the filler tube & attach this vent hose. all that was needed was the original 4020 vented fill cap.

Ok this is a 1964 , a Standard model with no three point , the cap is solid will look for a vented cap that fits .

If you have the factory cap(AR30697) I think on closer inspection you'll find it has a breather incorporated in it.
