3020 transmission issues

Theres a 3020 about an hour or so away from me that is advertised as has a problem going in gear in 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th. PTO will not stop turning. Its a gas motor, wide front, supposedly runs good, new clutch, lift and hydraulics work good. Asking price is $2650. Anyway, any ideas what would cause these symptoms, and is it worth a look?

3,5,7 and 8th are top shaft trans problems. The pto is most likely warped clutch disc that might have occurred when putting the tractor back
together. Unless you do the work yourself you could easily spent 3-4 thousand more fixing these problems. Keep looking unless you can do the
repairs yourself. Tom
