310 in oliver super 77

is their any thing speical that i need to have to put this 310 in oliver s 77 thanks

Need your 77 flywheel and bell housing, a gear reduction starter from a Ford School bus with a 5.9 Cummins. They have been on E-bay for a oliver, less than 200 from china. The water pump is a little long ,we will use a electric fan, and or a electric water pump. we had a little steering shaft interference, just a little grinding.

dave, is it gas or diesel? when i put a 310 gas in my 77 i set the back of the engine the same distance from the front of the trans case that the 77 engine was, then i drilled new frame and engine mount holes, that way i used the stock drive shaft and pto with no mods. next i slide the radiator forward in the shell as far as possible, drilled new holes and fastned it. had a machine shop shorten the water pump shaft, u esed a 88 flywheel in the 77 bell, the clutch linkage worked without mods. you can even use the 77 governer. i used the 77 starter with no problems. i have a 77 radiator modified for the 310 in exl. cond. let me know if you need one. good luck, chuck
