Will a 188 diesel out of a 71 580CK replace a 148 gas in a 67 310G case crawler? Thanks Casey

They came with them, so it should fit with the correct pieces. I'm not sure if the bell housing is the same, though, it may need replaced.

It depends on the year, there may be bell housing differences but if they both are three bolt starters it should be ok. between early and late there may be crank flange differences and the block length should be measured, if there is a difference the front mount may have to be used that matches the engine comb as used in that year crawler. Those are the considerations I would look for if I were swapping. HTH, mEl

I think if you check the drive shaft length is different for gas vs diesel, due to block length.
