Good morning - Gentlemen I've a loader backhoe tractor question. Where (or how) do you shut off the gas to the carb? My OM shows the typical (generic pic) glass bowl with the shutoff and description of how to clean the filter screen and bowl. Where is it? There is no room for this, at least on my tractor. I took off the hood and side panels for a better view as the loader support arms and backhoe mounting systems just about totally obscures the engine. There is no room for this type of filter. There has to be at least a shutoff there, how can you remove the carb? My factory parts book does not admit there is a gas engine for this rig and just covers the various diesel filters and not even showing a gasoline tank or carb????? Thanks for your 2 bits - Larry

If it is still factory sediment bowl is on the gas tank right aft and up from the starter.

To add to what Joe said, it is covered by the sheet metal so you have to reach behind the sheet metal with your finger and feel for it. You can see the bracket for attaching the sheet metal in Joe's picture just to the right of the sediment bowel. Might feel awkward at first but you will get used to it.

Thanks RJK, I meant to add this. CRS again.
Leave the sheet metal bolt out of the bracket, spring the sheet metal out some to get your hand in there. Note the rust in the sediment bowl, that would do a number on your carb if the sediment bowl or an add-on filter isn't present.

Thanks guys for the responses. Brain phart here. Looking at the pic you sent, and then cleaning out years of debris build up, leaves, twigs, and a mouse nest, etc. I found it! That side panel over the filter has never been removed! Thanks again - Larry
