3130 Tractor

I would like some pro's and con's on the 3130 tractor for a friend. He has located a 3130 4 wheel drive with 8400 hours. Sounds like the hours are a bit high but I don't know how good those Deere engines are. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for posting.

How much?
The engines are durable if serviced with clean oil and fresh anti-freeze.
Early or late 3130? If it's early has the transmission top shaft been updated?

The tractor is in Alabama and the asking price is
$4000. Latest information is the tractor was owned by the state for mowing. I don't know about the shaft.

Have to wonder how some tractor jockey took a used Canadian 3130 all the way to Alabama. And persuaded the state into purchasing it.
Green tractor, yellow or yellow on top of green paint.
The 4WD will be an hydraulic assist unit.
Check the serial number plate to be certain of the model number.

$4000 sounds very low for that size & late of model tractor. It may have some mechanical problems.
