3150 planetary

[JD 35 chopper]

Need help on replacing oil seal. Not able
to remove large ring gear. Dont want break
it. Bolts are removed. Pryed and lightly
tapped but no progress. Technical manual
does not address. Thanks

Cannot remember for sure but check to see if there are two threaded holes in the ring gear that you thread two bolts into to act as pusher screws to remove the ring

hello,, this looks like the 2750 etc.. front hub planetary,, i use three long bolts 3 inch or so to clear the end of the shaft sticking out, and arrange them in the original holes to resemble a three leg milking stool,, find a plate or circle large enough to sit on top of three bolts,, then use a jaw puller BIG enough to pull the hub.
