I recently purchased a case 320 industrial with a loader. The engine runs pretty well after a tune up.
I knew it had some forward reverse shuttle issues when I bought it. The shift leaver keyway was worn as well as the key was badly worn. I widened the keyway and put in a stepped key, most of the slack is gone.
The other shuttle issue is the shift collar gets stuck in reverse. There are 3 fingers or dogs under the shift collar in the synchro. The fingers seem lift and jamb the collar. I can get the fingers in place, install the shifter cover. It will work nicely a few times and jamb again.
Looks like to repair this,requires splitting tractor doing some major surgery. This will be a next winter project.
I'm starting to look for synchro parts for the reverser, and information on doing the repair.
Any suggestions, tips would be welcome.
