I have 92 3255 that is acting up. Once the tractor gets hot (2-3 hours of work) it starts to lose power. The RPMs are not effected and it continues to get worse until it wont even go up a slight incline.

It does this in all the gears. Once it sits a couple of hours it will work fine again. Ive changed all filters. One thought is the bypass valve but why only after its hot?

Welcome to YT
It's possible hyd hi-lo is slipping due to a seal leaking or low trans pump pressure. Will tractor slow down in both high & lo of hyd 2 speed? How long since hyd filter was changed & sump screen checked? I suggest to check hyd pressure of hi-lo!

I agree with SV that traction clutch could be slipping. Does foot pedal have 1''+ of free travel?

All the filters have been changed. It snows down in both high and low gears. The lower gears last longer

Has trans oil sump screen been checked???

When you refer to slowing MPH in high vs low speeds are you referring to hyd hi-lo or gear driven part of trans

Tx Jim How do you check the hi-low hydraulic pressure?

Ok sorry I have been on the road lately.

All filters have been replaced and the screen was cleaned (didnt have much on it). The tractor only starts losing power once it is hot. Example would be I can can use my John Deere 927 discbine for about 3 hours before it gets bad. It starts in the higher gears and if I shift to lower gears I can keep going for a little while but will get to teh point that even in first gear low range it wont even move. Let it sit a few hours and it will be fine again for a little while, but let it sit overnight and it will give me 2-3 hours.
