340 points setting

My farmall 340 backhoe wouldn't start. Thought it was a carb problem so I installed new kit in carb. Still didn't start. After checking some more it seemed as is wasn't get any spark. Upon looking further I found the rotor cap has some green stuff on the metal tabs. Spring tension on points were broke. So I put a set of new points, condenser, rotor and cap in my Farmall 340. It fired up okay. I set them at .20. Can someone tell me the correct setting for them.

0.020, 0.20 is probably impossible.

If you set the points at .20 you wouldn't need a feeler gauge just a tape measure.

The correct setting for most Farmall's is 0.020 so you should be just fine. I know that is what I set to points on the 340 I have here

Pretty easy to get a decimal point in the wrong spot. Could say twenty thousands of an inch but that is probably spelled incorrectly also.
