3400 Holley carb

Ford 3400 gasser with Holley carb. Is there supposed to be a spring on pin that holds floats in place. Took apart carb to check out and buy a rebuild kit. Down loaded a exploded view of same type carb. Shows a spring. Mine did not have one.
Can t find any rebuilds that offer this spring with kit.
So I thinking it doesn t need it.

I ran mine several years without the spring. I broke down and brought a new float and put the spring back on.

The ONLY rebuild kit that I would recommend for a Holley carburetor is the ond from CNH. Yes, it is expensive but the gaskets will be correct. You will need both tractor and carburetor SNs when you
order it.

No, I do not know if the float pin spring is included.

Will not be able to buy the spring separately.
