Is it possible to replace the main bearings in a JD350B dozer without pulling the engine.
The oil pump lower gear idler oiler adapter seem to be obstructing access to the forward bearing cap. Hoe to remove?

You could leave it bolted to the clutch housing for support, if you aren't going to change the rear main seal, but you are going to have to strip the front of the engine back to the block. See your post over on jdcrawlers.

Rebuilt a 350 diesel about 30 years ago. I think that I was able to remove the oil pump body and driven gear. This gave enough room
to get down the front main cap. The front of oil pump and drive gear stay attached to front cover. Again this was about 30 years.
Hope this helps, Steve
