Hi Anybody know where I can purchase a GASOLINE fuel pump
# 3044197R92 or an alternative?

The only one I can find is the #708294R93 which is for a diesel and has too much pressure My dealer said that a Walbro fuel regulator # 135-631 can be installed o make it work for gasoline Can't find one of those either

Any help is appreciated Thanks

You did not say it had to be cheap or from a source I
was familiar with. Here is one for $281.96, one scam
screening site said that parts company website would
be rated ..highly trusted.. by them. For your diesel
pump and regulator route you can probably get by
quite a bit cheaper. That diesel fuel pump is shown by
YT for around $20. Then in the 2nd link is a fuel
regulator I would trust. It is shown on the Holley
website but they say it would not ship until Jan. 2023.
Not sure how much the Vivid Racing wants for shipping
I did not look into it that far.

I have both versions of your engine. I have never
verified the pump pressure on either one. However,
I find it difficult to believe that that engine would
have two different lift pumps. All the diaphragm
pump has to do on the diesel is hold the fuel
against the injector pump, which has its own pump
to maintain internal system pressure. Further, the
pump shown in YT is labeled B414 gas or diesel...
the only difference between a 354 and B414 is the
tin. Just a couple items to think about.

I initially believed the same thing before I got into this project

I want to replace the pump because it is the original and I wanted to be proactive before it failed in an awkward place

Went to my local Case/IH dealer #3044197R92 gasoline pump is no longer available
Don't understand why as it's basically the same as the
#708294R93 diesel lift pump I purchase this pump installed it Started tractor and there was so much pressure gas was coming out of the carb bowl vent and the tractor would hardly run because it was flooding out I reinstalled original pump Ran normally

Thanks for your reply

If the pumps are externally the same, the difference may be in the spring used to push the diaphragm. If not a diaphragm pump, it has a regulator that controls max pressure. I would look into the difference and possibly reuse components from the original in the new one to get it operational (if the original fails. Jim
