3594 vs 7150Magnum

i would love to buy a magnum for a work tractor but unfortunately I am forced into using a 3594 as a primary planting tractor because to magnums lack the hydraulics of the older and cheaper 3594. look it up and notice the difference of the superior hydraulic systems in the case.

They are quite similar hydraulic systems which both use an on demand Vickers hyd pump.

Your Lucky to have the 3594 and Not the 7150 Magnum They did not have the best Rear ends .Guy near me had one for a few years ,first Problem was the Injection Pump Went out ,Then the Transmission started acting funny and then found out the Whole Rear end was Going out,thats when He got rid of it.Another one a friend had had the motor with injection pump problem & he sold it to a Dealer in PA ,along with a 3788 2 + 2 =Problem Solved

I've heard the old "boxcar Magnums" were a superior tractor to the older 94 series Case tractor. My 7130 has certainly been a solid and reliable performer for over 7000 hours . Should be good for another 7000.

If you love Case and hate IH, stick with the 3594, otherwise ever little problem the magnum gives you will leave a bitter taste in your mouth. That is the way it works. I worked on green tractors for a few years and no matter what went wrong with them, the customer always seemed to say it is a great tractor. When a red one had a problem it was most of the time condemned as being inferior. The Magnum hydraulics , in my experience have several advantages over the 3594.
Realize the pump is almost identical and the valves are pretty much the same as Case but the filtering, suction, charging of pump is better in my opinion.

Several of the old Magnums in this area and they just keep going. Only place I've seen them trashed is right here on the Case board. Probably has something to do with shotgun marriage back in 85'.

An old independent mechanic who works on mainly IH told me if he had only magnums to work on he would go out of business for lack of work. There are plenty of Magnums around this are, they just don't break often. Pete23 I agree with you 100 percent and I tend to lean toward green stuff. Some people are plenty proud of the color they have in the shed.
